Oh, sure! What do you need?

I'm setting up what I hope will be a monthly thing where young imports can just chill together. Like the bowling thing - it was Lucina's idea, in fact. The current main idea is a beach party with water balloons and waterguns and stuff like that.

First I'd like to ask for your help and advice with catering. Naturally I'll pay whatever you feel is fair for both. And second, I'd like to ask you to help with filling the water balloons in the ocean, if you think your power could be used for that. It would save having to deal with moving tons of filled balloons from one part of the city to another.

I am 100% in support of this idea. I think, no matter how much superheroics we do or don't do, it's important for us to just be able to bond and have fun. Just relax a little.

Oh, sure, my powers can move all sorts of water, no matter if it's salty or not. And you're right, 'cause water balloons are heavy when they're filled, plus they're all... squishy and stuff. What sort of food were you thinking?

I'm glad to hear it. Even if someone isn't a hero they still deserve to be allowed to form human connections. The fact that it's so hard to do here thanks to all that celebrity nonsense means that we've got to find a way to interconnect ourselves. No one else is really gonna do it. The closest they're going to do is write fanfiction or draw pictures.

Thanks! I'll pay whatever you think is fair for that, too, not just food stuff, by the way. As for food, it's going to be potluck style. I'm personally going to bring chips and fruit, and juice and soda as a buffer in case people can't bring anything personally. But I'd also like to be able to supply burgers, and grilled vegetables. I'm going to try to avoid things that spoil in the sun, except that I'm going to have a cooler with cheese and whatever condiments you guys put on burgers over here.

Uh-huh. It's hard to have a normal connection with people who see you as someone famous. And it's stressful keeping that up. We need to just be. Know each other as people, and not just a public image.

I'm actually not sure what to charge- but I'd be happy to do it just for food costs. And that menu sounds awesome, because I've been eager to try some new recipes. Now that it's getting warmer, I can use an outdoor grill, and we can have vegetarian and vegan burger patties along with the veggies.

Yeah. I mean, I've only ever been famous for bad things, but that doesn't change the fact that I can conceptualise it when it's positive. I mean, I once had a sort of celebrity crush? I thinks she counts...? Anyway. Looking back I can see that I saw her more as an ideal than a person, simply because I didn't know what she was like as a person, and all I saw were the things I liked.

I appreciate that. Just give me an estimate of the bill and I'll have it set aside. I'll cover anything that goes over that with whatever's left after paying for everything else, or with my next paycheck. Whatever comes first. I don't think I've ever had a vegetarian burger patty before. Will we need two grills, or is cross contamination okay for vegetarians?

Yeah, exactly. I've had my share of celebrity crushes back home, and when I was younger, I didn't understand that what I knew about them was what I was allowed to know. Now that I'm on the other side, I see that no matter how much I try to stay out of public life, people still have an idea of me that's not really... me.

Sure thing, I'll... have to figure that out, depending on what I end up buying, but I'll let you know. As to your second question, that depends on the person. As long as I'm not, like, frying the burgers right on top of each other, I think I should be fine. If it's a picnic-type deal, people understand that cooking space can be limited.

Yeah. It's kinda sad, once you realise it. While it's pretty normal for people to not know the exact details about the people around them, with celebrities it really is a super-idealized image that's constructed.

Thanks. Oh, and I'm hoping to be able to set this up middle-to-late May, so buying things right this instant would probably not be wise. I'm glad we won't need to rent two. I already figured we'll probably want to rent one of those big ones, and I'd have no idea what size a second one would need to be.

And the celebrities themselves have to keep that image up. Like my favorite boy band back home- who knows if my favorite guy actually likes sports and has a pet wolf? I daydreamed about being famous, but I'm pretty content with what I have.

Depending on the size, it's not TOO bad. Just requires some cleaning, but I'm used to that. My siblings and I always fought over who got stuck cleaning the grease trap whenever we rented a big grill.

Yeah. Being famous doesn't seem all that great, not once you've gotten a taste of it. Though, I have been told I'm an introvert, so, maybe that's it?

Absolutely! I'm narrowing beaches down in the Heropa area. And I'm trying to decide how I want to get the other supplies. Odds are I could leverage the fact that I'm an imPort to get some good deals, but at the same time it's going to spread pretty fast once I actually put it out there. I'm not even sure if I'm technically allowed to do that sort of thing or if it's frowned upon in the imPort community.

If you can show me how, I'll clean it. I can guarantee I've cleaned things way worse than a grill.

Yeah. I don't mind at all. I mean, grease is nothing when you've been covered in blood. And worse, really. Also spending three months as a forest hobo in winter... Well, honestly I am not at all opposed to getting dirty. I'm just glad I can get clean afterward.

Yeah. I'll have to look into that at some point. Right now it'd be silly, anyway, since I'm trying to keep my being an imPort on the down low. If this whole monthly event thing is successful, I'll probably look into a storage facility, and then buy tables, waterguns, and other things that can be used for multiple events.

Showers are mankind's gift to themselves, and it is a most beloved gift. Having the ability to shower, and in warm water no less, is my favourite thing about being in a city.

I don't blame you there. Some people embrace their newfound fame right away, but, well... not all of the native population likes us, either. And it's easier to be incognito if nobody knows.

Honestly, there's nothing like it after a long day at the stable. And here I'm not sharing a single bathroom with my parents and my siblings.

Yeah. I mostly just want to let people get the chance to get to know me before I let it slip? I won't be angry when it does, because I'm pretty sure I'm very bad at pretending to be normal, but I'd like to give myself a chance to at least talk to people like normal human beings.

It probably makes it easier to stay in the shower for more than the minimum time possible to do so and still get clean. I know I've let myself spend more than five minutes in the shower since getting here. Warm water is really good for the joints.

Exactly. When there's 5 of us who need to get ready for the day all at the same time, and needing to use the toilet in between... it's chaotic some mornings. Dad sometimes just takes a bath in the slop sink in the restaurant when he gets desperate.

Sounds like you guys could have used a second bathroom really bad. But there probably wasn't enough room, let alone money to have one added. Right?
